You Won’t
My new favorite band of the moment is called You Won’t. They’re from Boston, which makes me double love them, because it’s so rare (recently) that a great band comes from Boston. No disrespect, Beantown, you have your Good Will Huntings and your Make Way For Ducklings and your…I don’t know. Colleges? Lots of colleges. College greens. Dorms. Peet’s Coffees, Minnie Drivers.
Anyway. Here are three songs from these dudes. It’s two of them, I don’t really know how to describe it. Guitar, sometimes acoustic, sometimes electric. Guy singing. Sometimes a piano, sometimes an accordion-but don’t freak! Chill. It’s not pussy rock. (Terrible term). Also, I think if you’re a Boston band you’re legally required to include accordion in like forty percent of your songs.
Listen, It’s just very pretty music and a tiny bit heartbreaking at points, though they for sure rock out as well. I mean, it’s no Elliott Smith soundtrack IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN (Good Will Hunting reference tally is now at 3, maybe 4 depending on where you stand on Peet’s Coffee). The album is called “Skeptic Goodbye” and you can listen to their stuff HERE
