“This is the Day” by The The. Not to get all VH1 Classic on you, but despite the shitty 80’s video (80’s videos! Sort it out! I’m not talking to you, Take on Me, you’re cool), this is one of my favorite inspirational songs (that’s meant to be inspirational, not like how Heart In a Cage makes me want to kick ass). I mean, it’s no Jimmy Eat World’s, “It Just Takes Some Time.” Kidding! Jokes! (Secretly like that song). Anyway. “This is the day your life will surely change.” Yes, The The! USA! USA! Fist pump in air, freeze frame!
